Here's a quick list of requirements:
* UNIX or Linux (not Windows, NT/2000)
* MySQL (at least 4.0.xx)
* Access to MySQL database features
* PHP 4.3.X or greater
* Sendmail
* Ability to create and run cron tasks
These requirements are very common now a days. I would say 99% of the time you will have NO problem.
